• Steve Sharp’s Observations: This was my first year running the EV. The convention was small, but we had a good location for the EV. The downtown area was scenic, though was set up for a grand prix starting a few days after we left.

• Steve Sharp’s Observations: This was my second year running the EV. The EV location was a bit off the beaten path this year. San Antonio was nice as always, the weather held out pretty well. We had a booth for the first time in a few years.

• Steve Sharp’s Observations: Seattle is a beautiful city, and anybody who enjoys light rain, probably enjoyed their visit. The EV was in a high traffic area, right across from the TESOL booths, and near the Exhibitors.

• Steve Sharp’s Observations: NYC is always crazy, cramped in a bunch of hotels in downtown, with lots of stuff all around to view. This was the first convention that was only three days – and TESOL decided to extend the days to 7 pm. Long days, lots of conflicting events (presentations during open meetings).

• Steve Sharp’s Observations: The first convention during a bilzzard – only where did all the snow go? EV was held in the exhibit hall this year, and there was a lot of noise from the outside. Also a lot of noise from the Exhibitor’s showcase next door.
